About Us

Maigodiya Center for Youth Development (MCYD) is a youth, children and women focused development center established in 2005. It is registered as a non-profit, non-governmental organization in 2005 with headquarters in Jalingo and field offices in Adamawa and Bauchi States. The center carries out development research and work with Governments at all levels, community/religious leaders and donor agencies to address issues around Maternal, Newborn and child health, WASH, HIV & AIDS and women economic empowerment. We advocate for the increased health budgetary allocation and improve budget performance to reduce the high rate of maternal and child mortality and also ensure rights of women and children especially OVCs and promote community-based approach to development.
OUR GOAL: To improve the quality of decision making and execution in the health sector and empower young people to protect themselves and cope with the challenges of growing up through information and a supportive social environment that reduces their vulnerability.
